Spotted: Breitling Navitimer 806 AOPA.
But wait, I said grail right? Well, this is it guys. Probably one of the best Navitimers money could buy. First year of production (1954), original AOPA dial, AOPA engravings and -wait for it- powered by Valjoux 72 instead of the later Venus 178. Killer.
Since you already know how much I love the TheBeautifulWatch descriptions, once again a quote:
“I’ve dreamed a long time for this!! It’s the holy grail you never find! The famous AOPA movement Valjoux! The very first Navitimer of 1954 produced for the military, and for only one year! The logo AOPA is engraged on the side. The serial number is engraved on the caseback which carries the reference 806. A mythical watch from every point of view. Lovers and connaisseurs would not turn away from such a collector…a 911 from 1963 or a Strat guitar from 1954, that’s the NAVITIMER!”
