Sold in 2008 by Antiquorum in their October 17th auction, this must be one of the greatest platinum 1804’s ever. The dial is a joy to behold – the geometric pattern is stunning, but also very fitting to the presumed Middle-Eastern heritage of this watch. The claw markers with matching hands are great in any early 1800 and in line with the ‘Swiss’ marking of this early 1804. The 12 o’clock bit of the bracelet looks somewhat mangled, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was due to the photographer or his post-processing work. Great stuff.
